What is green-lipped mussel?
The green-lipped mussel is a mollusc that lives in the waters of Marlborough Sounds in Australia. As the name suggests, the green-lipped mussel is easily recognisable by the bright green edge of its shell.
The Marlborough Sounds are among the purest waters in the world, and it is only here that the green-lipped mussel can survive. For this reason, the area has been granted protected status, and water quality is continuously and strictly monitored.
Green-lipped mussel is packed with beneficial ingredients
